So it will really happen. I will go to Australia for a year.
Wow.
Most preparations are done and dealt with and while some work still remains to be taken care of (like actually moving out... gods, it's unbelievable how much junk we collect over the years!) and I've still got to take my exams, the remaining days I'll mostly spend playing the waiting game.
And boy do I love waiting. </irony>
I know I'll miss my friends quite a lot actually, but thankfully there's the internet (this blog, Skype, emails,...) and in the end, this great adventure of living on a different continent for a year will certainly be worth it.
I'll also get to meet some people I've either not seen for a while or... well, never. That is if I manage to go to New Zealand during the holidays, which I have every intention of doing.
Now to fiddle with the layout a little more. The "real" design will only go up when I've got some genuine Aussie photos. (Damn you, unreliable customer dude, send me my money already so I can buy that shiny new lense!)

Congrats Matt. We'll both be experiencing new continents together although half a world apart. I've bookmarked this bloggy thing and you're even on my shiny new bookmarks bar of quicklinks so feel proud ;)
AntwortenLöschenI had actually been thinking about starting my own blog for while I'm abroad for awhile now but since I don't have the web designer skills and my brother is back to classes I didn't think it would happen. Since it asked me to create a blog in order to create an account to comment here though... maybe we can be blog buddies!
Anyway your to do list looks amazing (although my list would replace Xena pilgrimage with LOTR sites in NZ) and I look forward to reading all the rest of your updates. Plus once I learn how to use skype we'll have to chat muchly.
And please ignore my facebook comments. I'm just pathetic enough to check facebook before my e-mail so I read your messages after finding this blog through your facebook status.
Thanks for the congrats. *bows* And I do indeed feel proud...ish......ish... XD
AntwortenLöschenThere're several ok->nice looking templates you can choose from and if you need help with anything, you know you can ask me so, yes, do go ahead and get your own blog started! :D
LOL - yay Facebook obsession. I find it too crammed most of the time because I'm not really able to filter information and get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff on there.
Gotta find out where they filmed LotR - maybe I can kill two birds with one stone... :D
